Salisbury's Titus Goes Undefeated

There were so many storylines for the 2008 NCAA Men's Lacrosse season as it approached, unraveled and finished up.  We had the Duke fifth year, the Hopkins losing streak, UVA's OT streak coming to an end and many more.  One topic that is probably unknown to the lacrosse community is the feat of Salisbury University's Greg Titus.  

As the final whistle blew at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, May 25; the Salisbury Seagulls had knocked off the Dragons of Cortland State, 19-13 and Salisbury's Greg Titus had finished up his college lacrosse career undefeated.  Titus who played for Salisbury in 2004-2005 seasons, sat out 2006 and rejoined the team in 2007 and 2008.  Each of these seasons, Salisbury did not lose a game.   

We cannot think of anyone else who has done this, so Greg Titus may have achieved a feat that no one in the history of NCAA lacrosse has accomplished, finishing up a four year career undefeated.  In the four seasons that Greg was with the Seagulls, their combined record was (85 wins and 0 losses).  Don't forget the four titles that the Seagulls were able to win along the way.  2004-Nazareth, 2005-Middlebury and 2007-2008 versus Cortland.   

Going undefeated is a feat that cannot and will not ever be surpassed at any level.  Congrats to Greg for the 'perfect' career at Salisbury.  85 wins, 0 losses, four rings and several individual awards.

LaxSpot Bloggers Wanted

Attention all lax fans!

The spring season isn't over, but at LaxSpot we're seeking featured bloggers for the summer and beyond.  If you are a MLL, NLL fan or your team is heading to any tournaments, camps or clinics and you would like to share the experience with the lacrosse community, now's the time to get started.  We will be rotating the new featured bloggers on the main page!

If you're interested, there's two ways to get aboard. 
1. Start a blog and we'll see it and contact you
2. Send an email to support@laxspot.com letting us know who you'll be playing for, which leagues or tournaments that you will be attending or what you plan on covering and then get started. 

All featured bloggers will be decided upon by the staff.  Requirements for a featured blogger consist of at least 5 posts, interesting topics and quality of the posts.  By quality we mean it follows an on going topic or has some points of interest.  


The LaxSpot staff will answer any questions that you may have on blogging inside our forum.  Questions such as how to add functionality (HTML, videos, pictures, polls, music and more) to your blog if you cannot figure it out.   


Oh yea…featured bloggers will be sent their very own stylish LaxSpot Tee.

NLL Finals Set!!

The NLL season has been an exciting one and it's time for the championship game.  At 7:30pm on Saturday, May 17th, the HSBC Arena in Buffalo, NY will be rocking as the 2008 Edge NLL Championship Game will be played between the Portland LumberJax and the Buffalo Bandits.

To get there:
The Portland LumberJax topped the Calgary Roughnecks 16-12 to be the best in the West.  The Buffalo Bandits beat out a surprising NY Titans team 19-12 to take the East title.

Who's your pick to raise the 2008 Champions Cup?
