This website is an opportunity to get the word out there about the great game of lacrosse. I’m a big fan of promoting niche sports, and happen to have grown up in a town where lacrosse was a pretty big deal. We had a team that won quite a few championships. I was a little surprised as I grew older and moved around a bit, that not every town had a strong lacrosse community. With the help of this site and a few ardent supporters, hopefully they’re may be more lacrosse teams sprouting up where you live.
I go to a boarding school in southern Pennsylvania, and our lacrosse team is extremely competitive. You are lucky if you get a spot on the varsity team. When you’re here, you’re weird if you’re not a “lax bro”. I’m playing for the first time this year. I throw around the ball a lot, and I have a stick. The lacrosse community is definitely growing here, and soon, I think, lacrosse is going to be a competitive nation wide sport.
